This accession consists of a manuscript titled "The History of the Division of Mollusks in the Smithsonian Institution," by Harald Alfred Rehder, edited by Ellis Leon Yochelson. The manuscript was handed to Yochelson in 1984, and remains unpublished. Also included are photographic illustrations used in the manuscript, consisting of color slides, negatives, and black-and-white photographs. Of note are photographs of J. B. Henderson, Paul Bartsch, William Healey Dall, and other Division of Mollusks staff; and a caricature of William Healey Dall drawn in 1874. The most recent material consists of correspondence about the manuscript.
